Low-Voltage Floor Plan Design Workflow

Build a controlled baseline, place system devices, record design intent, and prepare a readable coordinated plan.

This workflow-stage hub focuses on the work between a completed survey and a reviewable drawing. It curates methods across disciplines without replacing the complete low-voltage plan-design cornerstone.

Stage sequence

  1. Create or import a baseline and verify scale, orientation, levels, room names, and revision source.
  2. Define discipline layers, symbols, identifiers, line styles, legends, and drawing purpose.
  3. Place devices according to stated objectives and project inputs; record unknowns rather than hiding them.
  4. Draw cable/pathway intent, vertical transitions, shared infrastructure, and system interfaces.
  5. Run readability, clash, capacity, service-access, quantity, and stakeholder reviews.

Stage output

Issue a dated, revision-controlled plan with its legend, assumptions, open issues, schedules, and review record. Next, complete equipment schedules and estimating.
